Child Care Educators

All teachers at GLO Day Care are trained to meet the development needs of young children as outlined in Texas Rising Star certification. The Texas Rising Star (TRS) program is a “voluntary , quality-based child care rating system of child care providers, participating in the Texas Workforce Commission’s subsidized child care program”. GLO rates as a Three Star Provider in the TRS system.   They receive all necessary training to become quality child care educators who understand the developmental needs of young children.  They use a variety of teaching methods and behavioral guidance to care for each child through age-appropriate, engaging learning experiences that promote cognitive, social, and physical development.  Their certification in First Aid, CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, Child Abuse Prevention, and SIDS ensures the health and well-being of each child in their care.   They also receive on-going in-service training at early childhood conferences and workshop throughout the year.
