Our Curriculum

Preparing your children for their future while showing them God's love.

The curriculum for GLO follows a scope and sequence based on the Texas Infant, Toddler, and Three-Year-Old Early Learning Guidelines (ITELG), published in 2013. This curriculum sets expectations about competencies across domains of learning during specific age ranges and sets out how child care educators and support healthy development. ITELG was designed through a partnership of the Children’s Learning Institute and the Texas Early Learning Council with assistance of a diverse group of stakeholders and public input.

ITELG assist caregivers in understanding early childhood development and providing high-quality early childhood experiences for optimal brain development.  Teachers use the FROG Street Curriculum along with ITELG to write daily curriculum plans supporting development needs and individual learning styles.  The daily schedule balances quiet and active, indoor and outdoor activities initiated by the child and by the adult that promote fine and grow motor skills.

The GLO program support learning through centers that include art, music, blocks, books/reading, home living, nature, puzzles, manipulatives, and writing.  Children learn through creative expression, problem solving, and thinking skills as well as find and gross motor skills.  Positive self-esteem in encouraged with affirmation of accomplishments and acceptance. All curriculum and activities support each child’s preparation to enter Kindergarten ready to learn and group.
